How every service is conducted
Every piece that enters the workshop follows the same intake process: it is logged, given a reference number, and assessed under magnification before any work begins. Timing is measured in multiple positions at intake so we have a baseline to compare against once service is complete.
For each service tier the work follows a defined sequence — inspection first, then disassembly if required, cleaning, re-oiling, reassembly, and timing verification. Nothing is skipped and nothing is assumed to be fine without being checked.
When work is finished, the owner receives a written record of what was found, what was done, and what the timing figures showed before and after. The piece is then returned with a summary that can be kept with the watch for future reference.

Full Strip & Rebuild

Best for: Inspection
Owners who want to understand a watch's condition before committing to more extensive work, or who have recently acquired a piece of unknown service history.
Best for: Strip & Rebuild
A daily wear piece showing signs of wear — loss of power reserve, erratic timekeeping, or a service interval of eight or more years. Most mechanical watches fall into this category.
Best for: Overhaul
A chronograph, calendar, or other complicated piece, particularly one of personal or financial significance where thorough documentation of the work is important.

Technical protocols across all services
Ultrasonic cleaning standard
Components cleaned in a timed ultrasonic bath, then rinsed and dried before fresh lubrication is applied. Removes old oils, debris, and oxidation from small parts.
Position-specific lubrication
Different lubricants are used for the escapement, gear train, and mainspring barrel. Using the correct viscosity at each point extends the service interval and supports stable timekeeping.
Multi-position timing check
Rate and amplitude measured in a minimum of four positions — dial up, dial down, crown up, crown down — to reflect real-world wearing conditions rather than a single flat reading.
Water resistance where applicable
Where a case is rated for water resistance, seals are renewed during a full rebuild. We note the original rating in the service record but do not test submerged.
Documented intake and return
Each piece is photographed on arrival to record condition at intake. The same photographs are referenced on return to confirm the piece is back in the same or better state.
No scope changes without consent
If a worn component is found during service, work stops. The owner is informed before anything is ordered or replaced. The final invoice only reflects agreed work.
